How the Oil-air Separator Storage Tank works:

1. Air Mixture Entry: The high-temperature, high-pressure oil-air mixture discharged from the air compressor enters the oil-air separator storage tank through the inlet.

2. Initial Separation: The mixture enters tangentially along the tank wall. Through centrifugal settling and impact, most liquid oil is initially separated and settles to the bottom of the tank.

3. Fine Separation: Compressed air containing a small amount of oil mist flows upward, passing through the oil-air separator filter. The filter intercepts and condenses micron-sized oil mist particles, causing them to drip to the bottom of the filter element.

4. Clean Air Output: The clean compressed air, purified by the filter, is discharged from the outlet through the minimum pressure valve and enters the after-treatment system.

5. Lubricating Oil Recovery: The oil that settles to the bottom of the tank and the oil that drips from the separator filter collects at the bottom of the tank. When the air compressor is running, this oil is drawn back to the air compressor through the return oil pipe under pressure differential, re-entering the circulation.

Oil-air separator tanks are used by screw air compressors to both store air for the system and efficiently purify and recover resources. The operating status directly affects the air compressor's energy consumption, output air quality, and operational reliability.
