The production process of air receiver tanks
Time: 2025-12-05
To ensure air tank quality, air receiver tank manufacturers should have standard workshop and production process, strict quality control process. When custom air receiver tanks from the air tank factory, customers should have a brieft understanding on wheather the factory has mature manufacturing and quality control process. The following is the brief prodution process for reference:
1. Material preparation and shaping
- Purchasing raw materials such as steel plates.
- Cutting the plates according to the drawings.
- Using rolling machine to roll the flat plates into arc or cylindrical shapes
2. Welding and Assembly
- Welding Straight Seam: Longitudinally weld the joints of the rolled plates to form a cylinder.
- Welding Circumferential Seam: Circumferentially weld cylinders together to form the main tank body.
- Welding tank heads: Spot-weld tank heads to the cylindrical body.
- Bracket Welding: Weld the supporting legs, saddles, or lifting lugs, etc.
3. Testing and Inspection
- Leakage Test: Inject compressed air or inert gas into the tank to check for leaks at all welds and joints, ensuring a tight seal.
- Inspection: especially post-weld inspection, may include visual inspection of the welds, non-destructive testing (such as X-ray or ultrasonic testing), etc., to ensure that the welding quality meets standards.
4. Processing and Shipping
- Sandblasting to remove rust, scale, and impurities from the surface, creating a certain roughness to prepare for powder coating.
- Final overall quality inspection, including dimension, appearance, cleanliness, and labeling.
- Protective packaging is used to prevent damage during transportation.
- Shipping: The product is shipped and delivered to the customer.
